Calculate
Moisture in mass fraction is calculated as follows.
W (Moisture) = [1-(M3-M1)/M2]*100
Make 2 parallel samples for each sample, average the results. If the difference between the two resultsis greater than 0.5, retest isrequired.

Wet viscosity
Put the beaker on the scale and make zero, Take 2g of test samples in the beaker(correct to 0.01g) , add 198g of water at about 90 ° C. Stir quickly with a glass rod,make it dispersed uniformly,Then put the beaker in basin with ice water, Stir and move from fast to slow to preventsplashing. When the water cool to room temperature, take out the beaker and dry the surface, putit onthe scale thathasbeenzeroed, according to the actual mass of the sample

➢ 250mL High beaker
➢ Thermostat water bath
➢ Thermometer
➢ Ice
➢ Basin
➢ PH meter or PH test strips
Test procedures
Put the beaker on the scale and make zero, Take 2g of test samples in the beaker(correct to 0.01g) , add 198g of water at about 90 ° C. Stir quickly with a glass rod,make it dispersed uniformly,Then put the beaker in basin with ice water, Stir and move from fast to slow to preventsplashing. When the water cool to room temperature, take out the beaker and dry the surface, putit onthe scale thathasbeenzeroed, according to the actual mass of the sample, add water to a 2% solution (High temperatures make water evaporate quickly, and will reduce the quality of water). Then put the beaker in basin with ice water for about 20 minutes, make it dissolved fully, then take the solution out of the beaker into thermostat water bath to 20℃±0.1℃, measure with the Brookfield viscometer (2% HPMC Solution,Spindle:No.7,rotate speed:20RPS).
Calculate
The viscosity of the solution is calculated as follows
η=k*α
Notes:
η——The viscosity of the solution, unit mPa.s ;
k——Rotor coefficient ;
α——Pointer value. Testtwiceofeachsampletogettwotestresults,iftheviscosity≤1000 mPa.s, parallelresults ofthe
relative deviation is not more than 5%;ifthe viscosity> 1000 mPa.s, parallelresults ofthe relative deviation is not more than 10%, the result is taken as the arithmetic average.
After testing the viscosity,test the PH of the sample solution with a PH meter or PH test strips and record.
