HPMC products combine many physical and chemical properties to become a unique product with multiple uses and various properties as follows.
Film-forming
It can form a transparent, tough and soft film with excellent resistance to grease.
Water retention
It can retain water on porous surfaces such as wall cement boards and bricks.
Thermal gelation
The aqueous solution of the product will definitely form a gel when it is heated, and the gel formed will become a solution again after cooling.
Organic solubility
The product is soluble in some organic solvents, such as ethanol/water, propanol/water, dichloroethane and solvent system composed of two organic solvents in appropriate ratio.
Suspension
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose prevents the precipitation of solid particles and thus inhibits the formation of precipitates.
Surface activity
provide surface activity in solution to achieve the required emulsification and protection of the colloid, as well as phase stabilization.
Bonding
It is used as a binder for pigments, tobacco products and paper products, and has excellent functions.
Protective colloid
It can prevent droplets and particles from agglomerating or coagulating.
Non-ionic inert
The product is non-ionic cellulose ether and does not combine with metal salts or other ions to produce insoluble precipitate.
Water solubility
The product can be dissolved in water in different portions, and its maximum concentration is only limited by viscosity.
Tasteless and odorless, not affected by metabolic effects
used as additives in food and medicine, they will not be metabolized in food and will not provide heat.
Acid-base stability
It is suitable for use in the range of PH3.0-11.0.
